Mrs Mugerwa (formerly Miss Wright) who taught at our school until July 2017, spent two years on sabbatical working with children in Uganda. She has forged long and lasting links with the Kampala Children's Centre and the Slum Community.

The Governors and Miss Chinnadurai agreed for her to work in Uganda for two years, where she worked in the Slum Community leading Street Club and Slum School all on a voluntary basis.  Many of the children had lost their parents to AIDS, poverty or war but you would always find them with a big smile of joy on the faces.

Many children, parents, staff and families helped with her continued fund raising for this valuable work.

Miss Wright would like to say a BIG THANK YOU of her appreciation and gratitude towards the continued support she has received from the staff, parents, children and governors.

Uganda is close to all our hearts. Miss Wright has worked with children in the community, since September 2013 and returned to work full time at our school in September 2015. She left our school in July 2017 to relocate to East Anglia. Read about her Journey via her blog which gives you a real flavour of Uganda and the work that she has done there.
