Over the summer a Geography competition was sent out to all children.

Our World is changing. The big geographical issues of today need to be addressed now to protect the future of our planet and the people who live on it.

We were looking for innovative ideas to address problems in areas such as food production and supply, energy and sustainability, water security, resources, population growth, economic crisis, transport, travel, urbanisation, risk management, trade, environmental management, biodiversity and more.

There were many entries in the form of posters, models, stories and slide shows and we have chosen 5 winners who will all receive a prize.

They also go onto the next stage of the competition and be sent to the “Royal Geography Society”. This is a competition with schools all across England entering. The winner of this competition will become “Young Geographer of the Year”
