Our Christian Vision
Our school Christian vision is based upon Jesus’ words: “I am the vine, you are the branches. If you abide in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.” (John 15:5) which speaks of how we live and grow together as a Christian community.
We provide opportunities for everyone to flourish and grow within the love of God. Guided by the teachings of Jesus, we cultivate creativity, excellence, and resilience, inspiring pupils and staff to develop their unique gifts and become the best versions of themselves. We aim to equip our diverse community to make a positive difference in the world.
Our core values of Service, Forgiveness, Trust, Generosity and Compassion were chosen to underpin this vision for our school.
We developed this vision thoughtfully and collaboratively, working closely with staff, pupils, and governors to ensure it truly reflects the heart of our school community and its unique context. This shared commitment helps us create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
Family and community are at the heart of our school; we are are all connected—like branches to a vine—and the wellbeing of each individual affects the whole community. At Bridge & Patrixbourne, we see ourselves as part of a living, growing Christian family where every pupil, staff member, and family plays an important role.
Living Our Vision Through Values and Practice
Our core values of Service, Forgiveness, Trust, Generosity, and Compassion underpin our vision and shape daily life at school. These values guide how we treat each other, how we approach learning, and how we engage with our wider community.
- Service: Encouraging pupils to help and support others both within school and in the local community.
- Forgiveness: Teaching pupils the importance of understanding and reconciliation.
- Trust: Building strong, respectful relationships between pupils, staff, and families.
- Generosity: Inspiring kindness and sharing of talents and resources.
- Compassion: Fostering empathy and care for others.
Flourishing Through Curriculum and Community
At Bridge & Patrixbourne, we provide a rich curriculum and a wide range of opportunities designed to help each pupil grow and develop their unique gifts. We believe education is about more than academic achievement; it’s about nurturing creativity, resilience, and excellence.
We actively engage with our local community, extending the “branches” beyond school walls. Pupils participate in community events and projects that help them understand their role in the world and develop a sense of responsibility and belonging.
Our commitment is to prepare pupils not only to succeed academically but also to be compassionate, confident individuals ready to make a positive difference in society.
