The children of Bridge School have benefitted from leasing two school minibuses for the past seven years which has resulted in lower costs to parents when arranging school trips and more opportunities for curricular and extra-curricular activities, such as sporting and art events.
As the lease is coming to an end, we have been given the opportunity to purchase our existing minibuses which is more cost effective than starting a new lease.
The amount we have been quoted for both minibuses is £29,000.
After discussion with the PTFA, they have agreed that they would used any funds raised from the Voluntary Fund to go towards the purchase of the minibuses.
They have also committed to a donation of £14,500 (half of our target) as well as the proceeds from the upcoming Bridge Village Fireworks.
Being able to purchase the minibuses outright, will save the school and parents a great deal of money in the long term and, more importantly, mean that the opportunities that we provide the children remain.
