At Bridge & Patrixbourne CEP School, the safety and welfare of every pupil is our highest priority. In line with our school vision, we believe that a safe and supportive environment is essential for all pupils and staff to flourish and grow together as a Christian community.
Our Commitment to Safeguarding
We are dedicated to creating a nurturing atmosphere where every pupil feels safe, valued, and supported. This commitment reflects our core values of Service, Forgiveness, Trust, Generosity, and Compassion, which underpin everything we do. Ensuring the well-being of our pupils is a shared responsibility, and we work together to protect and promote their welfare.
Who is Responsible for Safeguarding?
At Bridge & Patrixbourne, safeguarding is a collective effort, but we have designated leads who oversee all matters related to pupil safety:
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): James Tibbles (Headteacher)
- Named Governor for Safeguarding and Welfare: Rev. Estella Last
In addition, we have a dedicated team of trained Deputy Safeguarding Leads who provide vital support and can act as DSL when needed. This team works to maintain the highest standards of safeguarding in line with statutory requirements and our school’s safeguarding policy.
