We were incredibly proud that 22 pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 represented our school at Young Voices 2026, performing live at the iconic The O2 Arena.

Young Voices is the largest school choir concert series in the world, bringing together thousands of primary-aged children from across the UK to sing as one enormous choir. In the lead-up to the event, pupils rehearsed a professionally arranged repertoire before performing alongside a live band and guest artists, creating a truly unforgettable arena-scale experience.

This year, the programme also featured the Wicked Worldwide Singalong, a global celebration in which choirs around the world performed a specially arranged Wicked medley together, uniting thousands of children in song and connecting our pupils with singers from across the UK and beyond. For our pupils, Young Voices is far more than a concert. Participation supported:

  • Confidence and teamwork, as children performed as part of a massed choir of 8,619 singers
  • Musical development, through learning harmony, rhythm and performance discipline
  • Wellbeing and aspiration, by performing on a world-class stage used by international artists

The programme featured a wide range of musical styles - from contemporary pop medleys and Wicked singalong pieces to songs from beloved musicals and uplifting anthems - all carefully selected to be age-appropriate, inclusive and exciting for young performers.

The children themselves spoke enthusiastically about the experience. Dexter said, “It was really fun. It’s an experience you can’t get anywhere else, and I’m really glad I did it.” Evie added, “It was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but I really enjoyed it.

For many pupils, this was their first experience of performing in such a large and professional venue and the sense of achievement they gained will stay with them for years to come.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mrs Loughlin, who led the choir, and to Mrs Brooks and Mrs Hurley, who supported the children on the day.

We also congratulate our singers for the enthusiasm, resilience and courage they showed in representing our school so brilliantly.
