On Wednesday 6th May, our school was transformed into a vibrant explosion of colour as pupils, staff and families came together for our sponsored Colour Run in support of our OPAL playtime project.

Throughout the school day, every child took part in their own fun, age-appropriate run with friends. The atmosphere was full of energy and excitement, with laughter and colour filling the air as pupils completed their laps.

At 3:30pm, we opened the gates to welcome families to join the event and what followed can only be described as joyful chaos. Parents threw themselves into the spirit of the occasion and it was clear that many of them enjoyed it just as much, if not more, than the children. It was wonderfully messy, full of laughter and a brilliant shared experience for our whole community.

We are delighted to report that, at the time of writing, the event has raised almost £6,000, with more donations still to come in. This is a fantastic achievement and will make a significant contribution to developing richer, more engaging play opportunities for all our children through our OPAL project.

A huge thank you goes to our Colour Run team, Mrs Harvey-Maw, Mr Wren, Mrs Pearman and Mrs Shirley, for organising such a successful event. We are also incredibly grateful to all our parents and families for their generosity and support.

Given the overwhelming success of the event, we are already considering making the Colour Run an annual fixture in our school calendar.

Below you can find the photos from the event and some videos that we have roughly put together that we've shared with the children.
