On Tuesday 25th November, twelve children from Year 6 represented the school at a basketball event hosted by The Canterbury Academy. Both Bridge 1 and Bridge 2 impressed from the very first whistle, demonstrating excellent energy, teamwork and resilience as they faced a range of strong opponents.

Early rounds saw confident performances from both teams, with players rising to each challenge and competing brilliantly throughout. Bridge 1 went on to play the team who ultimately became overall winners. It was a gripping, hard-fought match, with our players matching their opponents at every stage and keeping the score close right up to the final whistle. Although the result was a narrow loss, the determination and spirit shown by the team were exceptional, and they should feel proud of everything they achieved.

The children had a fantastic day, representing the school with pride. A big thank you goes to Mr Tibbles and Mr Taylor for transport, and to Mr Wren and Mrs Langsdon for their support throughout the event.
