Term 5 was very short - yet the children had lots of fun and explored in Forest School.
Thank you to all of the adults who took the time in their busy week to come and see us play and explore in our outdoor area. I hope you got some insight into how the children get to explore the nature in our school grounds.
We sang an insect song, some children went bug hunting, made wormeries, created clay snails, mud insects and leaf caterpillars.
David Attenborough “Bringing nature into the classroom can kindle a fascination and passion for the diversity of life on earth and can motivate a sense of responsibility to safeguard it.” Happy 100th Birthday!!
The Reception children also got to have their first fire! We reminded each other about the safety rules and how we get close to a fire. They all did a fantastic job and we roasted marshmallows over the flames and enjoyed our first s'mores.
