Last week, we were very pleased to welcome a local Fashion Designer to our Fashion and Textiles after-school club. Dulcima is a sustainable fashion designer and creator who works from her studio in Barham village; she is also a musician.
Our small Year 4 club is being led by one of our Year 6 Art Leaders, Tamsin; we have been designing a butterfly dress inspired by our ‘whole school project’ which is in collaboration with author Tom Delahunt (Christchurch University).
Dulcima very kindly joined us to help with the skirt of our dress and generally discuss ideas and techniques. She also showed the children her work and talked about her design studio. Yes, working within The Arts can be your future career children!
