Welcome back to Forest School Year 6.
We have made some human pyramids, showing team work skills. Children learned to read flow charts and to identify leaves of plants in our area. Some children chose tool work with saws, others built dens, they loved flowing water down the mound and Jayden and Mona were great planting helpers- hopefully we will have a great harvest this year.
For our fire session we cooked nettle crisps in oil, soy sauce and garlic as well as foraged elderflower heads in home made batter. Children were surprised that you could eat nettles and most children enjoyed them. Well done for trying new items.
I hope you will enjoy nature in the future and that the Year 6 children have learned to connect to nature in Forest School and found a love for the outdoors.
